Talk by Paul Dreher at the NanoMag

20.01.2022

Paul Dreher will present his talk “Microscopic insights into superconductivity in 2D transition metal dichalcogenides” on Friday, January 21st. The talk will be on-line.

Paul Dreher will present some of his research to students and scientists. He will discuss recently obtained results on unconventional superconducting pairing in single layer NbSe2, substrate induced proximity effects, and tuning of 2D superconductivity by atomic doping.

Paul Dreher is a fourth year PhD student at Donostia International Physics Center in San Sebastian, Spain. He ontained his M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Vienna in 2017, as well as a M.Sc. in Environmental management from the Technikum Wien on the same year. His research is mostly focused on the study of electronic properties of 2D superconductors explored via scanning probe microscopy & spectroscopy at very low temperatures (300 mK) and under high magnetic fields (up to 11T).
