Prof. Hari Srikant is a Distinguished University Professor at the Department of Physics, University of South Florida, Tampa FL, USA. He will be visiting Dieter Suess’ group and ours and will give a talk around two questions motivating his research: Can local heat with magnetic nanoparticles or ‘super spins’ be generated? What about manipulation of spin transport using thermal gradients?
