Andrei is working with Michal Urbánek’s group, one of our closest collaborators. His objective is to master cutting-edge techniques to fabricate and characterize nanostructures for magnonic applications. The marvellous facilities of CEITEC offer the Central-European scientific community a place to perform excellent research.

Andrei’s PhD project is devoted to the experimental investigations of magnetic nanostructures made of yttrium iron-garnet (YIG) and their usage for data processing. In that sense, nanofabrication at CEITEC of actual samples and the development of the corresponding nanofabrication technology is an important step in completing his PhD research. The fabricated structures will be used for studying magnon transport in curved waveguides and complex 2D magnonics networks, as well as for the inverse design logic gates for binary data processing.
