An “arrevoir” to our French partners

30.09.2022

The International Partners Meeting of the FWF-ANR-funded project “MagFunc” was a success after two days of presentations and scientific exchange

After many pandemic-obliged telematic meetings, the Austro-French collaborators could meet in Vienna to discuss face-to-face about the challenges and opportunities of the “Non-Reciprocal 3D Architectures for Magnonic Functionalities” project.

The four partner teams were able to share their multidisciplinary approaches to develop, from the emerging field of magnonics, miniaturized non-reciprocal technologies compatible with modern devices used in integrated circuit technology. The French teams are led by Vincent Vlaminck (coordinator from the ANR side) from the Institut Mines Télécom- Atlantique and by Yves Henry from the Institut de Physique et Chimie des Matériaux de Strasbourg. The Austrian teams are represented by Andrii Chumak (coordinator from the FWF side) and by Dieter Suess, each leading separate research groups at the University of Vienna.

During the two-days packed program, all teams could share the latest developments from the project and work towards solutions from their disciplines. Moreover, it was a great opportunity for the MagFunc’s young researchers to plan their next research steps and to enhance future collaborations.
