Among the more than 400 balls that take place in Vienna, the Vienna Ball of Sciences offers an evening in which researchers working at the cutting-edge of knowledge meet the traditional elegance of the Viennese waltz. The combination results into an unforgivable soirée for scientists of all fields and at every possible stage in their careers.
The NanoMag did not want to miss the opportunity of participating in the 8th iteration of the ball. Andrii Chumak and his wife were joined by three of our PhD students put on the most radiant attire and joined many colleagues and friends in what is now an unmissable date in the Viennese scientists’ calendars. Barbora Budinská and David Schmoll, accompanied by their respective partners, were joined by Sebastian Lamb-Camarena. Based on their very positive experience, the group’s representation will certainly be larger next year.
