Talk by Dieter Koelle at the Faculty

23.03.2023

Prof. Dieter Koelle will present his talk “NanoSQUIDs for sensing magnetic fields on the nanoscale” on Friday, April 14th

Prof. Wolfgang Lang from the research group Electronic Properties of Materials and our group are happy to announce the visit and talk from Prof. Dieter Koelle, who in his presentation will review recent progress in the development and application of nanoSQUIDs. Moreover, he will present his group’s approaches for developing sensitive Nb and YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO) nanoSQUIDs.

Prof. Dieter Koelle works at the Physikalisches Institut, Center for Quantum Science (CQ) and Center for Light-Matter Interaction, Sensors & Analytics (LISA+), Universität Tübingen, Germany. His research field is superconductivity, working on basic properties and devices. Particularly, he focuses on electric transport and noise in thin films and Josephson junctions and SQUIDs, as well as nanoSQUIDs for magnetic imaging and investigation of small spin systems.
