Dr. Sebastian Knauer has joined the group as senior postdoc on a 6-years Faculty of Physics position

We are very excited to announce that Dr. Sebastian Knauer has joined the group as senior postdoc on a 6-years Faculty of Physics position.

He has just finished his position as Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales, in the Centre for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology (CQC2T), lead by Prof. Michelle Simmons. There he was working on single phosphor donors in silicon. To support his relocation and start at the University of Vienna, Sebastian got an FFG (Österreichische Forschungsföderungsgesellschaft) relocation grant awarded. Congratulations!

With his expertise and in-depth knowledge in electrical and optical manipulation and read-out of quantum spins, in particular electron and nuclear spin resonance (ESR/NMR), as well as quantum information processing, he will greatly strengthen the profile of the Nanomagentism and Magnonics Group. We are looking forward to the future research opportunities that will arise from his arrival.
